WHAT IS TED?
TED is a non-profit organization dedicated to "Ideas worth spreading".
The TED Conference, held twice a year, brings together the world's leading people to give speeches of less than 18 minutes about what they have thought and done in their lives.
Many of these speeches are streamed on TED.com and can be viewed for free on the Internet. Successive generations of TED speakers have included American businessman Bill Gates, British animal behaviorist Jane Goodall, American novelist Elizabeth Gilbert, and many other famous people.
WHAT is tedx?
TEDx is a program based on TED's Ideas worth spreading philosophy, where TED-licensed universities, cities, and other organizations organize their own events in the spirit of TED, offering the same TED experience in a more localized and university-based format. The combination of TED talk videos and enthusiastic speeches at the event gives rise to new ideas.
Each TEDx, including TEDxHitotsubashiU, is an independent organization and operates under TED's guidelines.
WHAT IS

hitotsubashiu?
TEDxHitotsubashiU was founded by Hitotsubashi University students in 2018 with the philosophy of "providing opportunities to encounter new perspectives within Hitotsubashi University". Since its establishment, TEDxHitotsubashiU has been run by students from diverse backgrounds at Hitotsubashi University.
Based on this philosophy, we deliver speeches that provide "new perspectives = a 'new lens' for perceiving the world". From Hitotsubashi University, we will transmit the passionate thoughts of students who continue to take on new challenges and leaders who are active in society.
This event, which will be held for the first time in the 2019 academic year, will continue to have a lasting impact on all those involved in the event, in the form of changes in thinking and stimulation of discussion through TEDxHitotsubashiU, as well as interaction at the reception after the event.
OUR POLICY
TEDxHitotsubashiUは、「一橋大学内で新しい視点と出会う機会を提供すること」を理念として設立されました。
私たちはこの理念のもと、「新しい視点=世界を捉えるための『新たなレンズ』」を提供するようなスピーチを届けていきます。
本イベントは2024年で5度目の開催となります。
今後もTEDxHitotsubashiUを通した思考の変化や議論の活性化、
イベント後のレセプション"Coffee Chat" での交流などといった形で、
イベント関係者全ての方々に持続的なインパクトをもたらしたいと考えております。

「キャリア」関連のテーマに限定せず、日常の疑問やアカデミックな興味を大切にし、人々が持つ純粋な興味・関心をくすぐるテーマに出会うことができます。
クロスボーダーなテーマ
既存のカテゴリーに縛られることなく、幅広いテーマに関する話を聞くことができます。
意外性
イベントに参加することで、自分が興味関心を持っている分野とは全く異なる、ひょっとするとこのままでは聞くことすらなかったかもしれないテーマに出会うことができます。
外部との交流
一橋大学OB・OGの方々や、大学の枠にとらわれず、普段交流することのない社会人の方々、地域の方々との接点を作り出します。
感動体験
心に響く、スピーディーでダイナミックなプレゼンテーションを通して、他にはないユニークな感動を得ることができます。
持続するインパクト
プレゼンテーションを通して自身の思考や行動に変化が生じたり、イベント後のCoffee Chatでの交流における、異なるバックグラウンドを持つ幅広い世代との出会いや新たな知見を得ることが出来ます。こうしたイベントでの経験はその場限りのものではなく、今後の人生に影響を与えていくものであると私たちは考えています。
ハードルの低さ
学外に足を運ぶことなく、一橋大学内という慣れ親しんだ場所でイベントに参加することができます。

私たちTEDxHitotsubashiUは「一橋大学内で新しい視点と出会う機会を提供すること」を目標に、2018年に設立されました。
2019年1月以降、毎年冬に開催されてきた本イベントは、今年で5度目の開催となります。このような節目のイベントを迎えられたのは、協賛企業の皆様、いつも優しく私たちを見守ってくださる岡本先生、そして何より参加してくださる皆様のおかげです。本当にありがとうございます。
さて、本イベントのテーマである「＋roads（クロスローズ）」の根底には、過去と未来のあらゆる選択に対し、私たちはどのように向き合えばよいのかという問いがあります。
5名の素晴らしいスピーカーの語りや、イベント中の企画を通して、この問いに対する十人十色の応答が生まれたら嬉しいです。
イベント当日に、皆さんと思い出に残るような時間を過ごせることを楽しみにしてます！

岡本純也 准教授

今回のテーマは「＋roads」。人生に＋（プラス）のことが起こる交差点。
たしかに人生を「道」に見立てるならば、それが交差するポイントとは新たな出会いの場であり、それまで描いてきた道の延長上とは別の方向へ軌跡を導く力学が働く、特別な場所であるともいえる。この比喩の想像力に注目する際に注意したいのは、眉間に力を入れて「交差する点」に焦点を絞りすぎないことであろう。そうすると、一度交わった道は二度と交わらないような、そのようなイメージしか浮かばなくなる。少し顔を上げて視野を拡げ、交わった道がその後どのような軌跡を描くか想像してみてほしい。当然、出会いの大半がそうであるように、一度きりの交差だけで、その後、二度と交わらない方向へ伸びていく道もあろう。だが、ある道どうしは何度もクロスし、複雑に絡まり合いながら同じ方向へと伸びていくかもしれない。
本日の会が、お集まりのみなさんの人生の軌跡を変えるような＋（クロス=交差する）の場になることを期待しています。
